Stay Near Natural Light Sources

This may seem an odd tip, but it’s pretty effective. Stay near a natural light such as windows. The trick behind is that the hypothalamus often perceives the light source as a source of energy. Light leaves us wide awake and attentive to what we’re doing.
It also regulates the energy level in the body while suppressing the production of melatonin that promotes our sleep levels. When you are in a dark place, you feel tired and sluggish because your hormones are lulling us to sleep. That also explains why you find it hard to sleep when you use your cell phone in bed at night. If for any reason you are unable to access a natural light during the day, you can use alternatives such as a mood lamp or a sunlight LED light.
Do not forget to exercise.
Exercising is good for human health. People often associate exercising with weight loss and getting a leaner body. While that may be true, the benefits of exercising are not limited to that. Did you know that exercising can help keep the motivation and inspiration up too? This is because exercising keeps you energized throughout the day. Exercising also promote sound sleep, which is good for one’s health.
Now imagine not exercising. You’ll be having a hard time getting enough sleep. And when you don’t have enough sleep, chances are, you’ll be feeling sluggish and tired the in the morning, resulting in a dramatic decrease in your productivity. If you want to have a sound sleep, make an effort to sleep early. Avoid drinking caffeine and energy drinks as they wreck the production of the sleeping hormone. Use a comfortable bedding, turning off the light, and keeping the sounds down. If you sleep well, you will definitely feel much more energized when you wake up in the morning.
Learn to Manage Stress
Stress is harmful, be it physical, mental, or emotional. Stress dampens one’s motivation and productivity level. The mind becomes so chaotic that we couldn’t come up with a logical reason to solve the problem at hand.
When the mind is in a wreck, the body also gets affected. One loses appetite and becomes demotivated to exercise, which, in turn, makes the body feel sluggish and tired. This exacerbates the problem further.
We recommend that you detox your mind, body, and soul in order to relieve stress. You can do a lot of stress-relieving activities such as:
- Yoga – Yoga clears your mind and slows down your breathing and heart rate.
- Exercise – Exercise reduces stress and fatigue. It improves your overall cognitive function, alertness, and concentration.
- Meditation – A study has found that mindfulness meditation can help ease stresses like depression, pain, and anxiety.
- Eating a healthy diet – Eating high-fat food can make you feel lethargic and leave you without much energy to deal with stress. A healthy diet that combats stress is composed of high-fiber, carbohydrate-rich and low-fat meals with plenty of fruits and vegetables. These foods do not sap energy and boost the immune system.
